Cold water washes
Cold water saves energy and is gentler on many fabrics. Spot is made to dissolve and clean in cold water, so you do not need a hot cycle just to melt the sheet.
- Dissolves in under 60 seconds in cold water
- Works in HE machines that use less water
- Same dose rules: half a sheet for small and medium loads

HE front-load and top-load
High-efficiency washers use less water. That is hard on some powders. Spot sheets are low-sudsing and dissolve fully, so they suit HE front-loaders and HE top-loaders as well as older non-HE machines and laundromats.
Avoid residue in cold or HE washes
- Put the sheet in the drum with the clothes, not between the clothes and the drum wall.
- Do not overfill the washer — water needs to reach the sheet.
- Use two sheets only when the load is heavily soiled or extra-large.
- Pre-treat tough stains before a cold wash; cold water alone is slower on set-in dirt.
Frequently asked questions
Do laundry detergent sheets work in cold water?
Yes. Spot dissolves in under 60 seconds in cold, warm or hot water.
Are detergent sheets safe for HE washers?
Yes. Spot works in HE front-load and top-load machines, and in standard washers.
Why did my sheet not dissolve?
It was usually stuck to the drum wall or the load was packed too tight. Place the sheet in with the clothes and give water room to move.
