This policy explains what information Spot Detergent (“Spot”, “we”) collects when you use spotdetergent.com, and what we do with it. We don't sell your personal information.

What we collect

• Order details — your name, email, shipping and billing address, and what you bought, when you check out.
• Payment details — card details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout page and go straight to Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Emails you send us — if you contact us, we keep the conversation so we can help you.
• Technical data — our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.

Your cart

Your cart is saved in your browser's local storage so it's still there when you come back. It stays on your device. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

• To process, ship and support your order, including receipts and delivery updates.
• To handle refunds, returns and questions.
• To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

We share only what's needed to run the store, with these service providers:

• Stripe — payments, tax calculation and receipts
• Vercel — website hosting
• Resend — sending order notifications
• Shipping carriers — your name and address, to deliver your order

We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for tax and accounting, usually up to 7 years.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@spotdetergent.com. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights under local law. We won't treat you differently for using them.

Children

Our store isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
